Stage 4: In with the black paint! Bold...and scary!                            Stage 5:  With Titan Buff I began integrating the photos
On the left I extended the black foreground of the                            more seamlessly into the painting, by painting over a lot

These detail areas show the effect of applying a translucent paint like Titan Buff over both darker
and lighter areas. On the left, the black lines are veiled, and on the right the white sky has become
less flat and more painterly.

   
This close-up view shows how I disguise the edges of the photo by scraping on Heavy Gel Medium, which will eventually dry clear and make a gradual 'slope' from the edge of the photo down to the level of the canvas.
